The Adventures of Romy is such an amazing book. It is just lovely. I could not put it down for days. I read it over and over for days. My mum and I read it together. Even she loved it.
It is the best book I’ve ever read, especially because it inspired me to learn the fiddle.

A delightful and captivating book! I can think of no better book to give a child in middle primary school or as a resource in school libraries. My enjoyment of this story was possibly enhanced by the relief that it was so refreshingly uncomplicated and without the dark overtones of much children’s literature today. Five stars!

How it all began…
I started writing about Romy one summer holiday at Kai Iwi Lakes. It was a wet, windy day, and the whole family decided to each write a story that we would share around the campfire that night. And what a wonderful evening it was!
The following year, all the children asked for another adventure with Romy.
Some years later, here is the finished tale…
